Ajax Security

Ajax Security Systems – a company that has been developing alarm systems for over 10 years. One of the key differences compared to competitors is the creation of high-quality products. The company continuously improves its systems and brings new products to the market. Ajax Security offers both wired and wireless systems. Let’s look at the benefits of Ajax’s wireless alarm systems.

The first advantage is the long battery life of the security sensors, ranging from 3 to 5 years (after which the batteries need to be replaced). They can be installed anywhere, and the distance from the main control unit, “Ajax Hub,” can reach over 1 kilometer, which allows sensors to be installed at long distances without cables.

A notable plus of the system is the ability to receive all alerts directly via a mobile app as a sound signal. A unique feature of Ajax Security systems is the presence of sensors that can take photos when an alarm is triggered. When an intruder is detected, you can immediately call the police, bypassing the stage of connecting to a security service.

Examples of sensors with photo-taking functions include the Ajax MotionCam and Ajax MotionCam Outdoor. The first is designed for indoor use, and the second for protecting open areas.

Ajax Security Systems also offers various fire detectors, such as Ajax FireProtect, Ajax FireProtect Plus, and Ajax FireProtect2. Some of them only respond to a temperature rise, while others react to smoke and carbon monoxide. The company also provides automation sensors, such as the ability to turn off ventilation when a smoke detector is triggered.

Ajax Security Systems also offers leak or flood sensors, which can be programmed to automatically shut off the water when activated. Regarding control panels, Ajax Security has taken care of its clients by offering the ability not only to arm or disarm the security system but also to control lighting and household appliances.

Ajax Security systems are not just alarms; they are smart systems that can not only ensure security but also manage home appliances, providing complete control and peace of mind for you and your home.

An example of Ajax Security Systems in action
In this video, you will see how the Ajax security system works in real conditions. When a thief approaches the house, the Ajax MotionCam Outdoor external sensor is activated. This sensor is not afraid of rain, snow, or cold and can withstand temperatures down to -25 degrees. It can detect a person up to 15 meters away and send a photo to your phone when it is triggered.

After the thief breaks the window and enters the house, the Ajax MotionCam indoor sensor is also activated, sending photos of the burglar to the homeowner. The video then shows the activation of the Ajax FireProtect smoke detector and how the Ajax LeaksProtect sensor reacts.

All these alerts reach your phone when any of these sensors are triggered, with a siren sound, voice messages, and photos, if your sensors support them.

How Ajax works
Let’s take a closer look at what you need to install the Ajax Security system yourself. You need to purchase the main control unit, the “Ajax Hub” – this is the main brain of the alarm system. It communicates with the sensors and receives alarms from them. The main unit should be selected according to your requirements. For example, the “Hub” does not have the ability to receive photos from sensors, while the Ajax Hub 2 does. If you are unsure which unit to choose, write to us at info@alarmsec.eu. We will help you with the selection.

After purchasing the Ajax Hub, it needs to be connected to the internet using a cable or SIM card. It’s best to use both options simultaneously to ensure uninterrupted operation of the alarm. Add the alarm to the app by scanning the barcode with your phone. Now, your alarm is available in your user profile.

Next, add sensors to the main Ajax Hub control unit in the same way, make simple settings, and the system is ready to work! You can fully control the alarm from your phone. However, keep in mind that it is essential to measure the signal strength between the sensors and the control unit. The Ajax Hub has a backup power supply. For example, if the main power at home is turned off and the router no longer transmits the internet to the Hub via cable, the Hub will automatically switch to the SIM card, and you will still receive an alert on your phone.

Ajax signal range
The actual range differs from the declared one, as many factors affect the distance. For example, where the Hub is installed. If it is in a building with thick walls, the distance is significantly reduced compared to the declared range. If the Hub and sensors are located in an open field, the distance will likely match the declared range. However, if the range is insufficient, Ajax Security Systems has repeaters, Rex and Rex 2. Rex receives the signal from the Hub and transmits it further, effectively acting as a signal booster. The difference between Rex and Rex 2 is that Rex only receives alarm signals (Jeweller). It cannot receive signals transmitting photos (Wings). Another essential difference is that Rex2 can be connected via a local LAN network cable. Therefore, thick walls are no longer a problem. It communicates with the Hub via cable. You can approximately calculate the range on the Ajax Security Systems website. You need to enter data about wall materials, etc. Here is the link, click.
